Collective agreement

Your collective agreement sets out your rights and responsibilities at work.  If you have any questions or concerns about your treatment, please talk to your shop steward or a member of the executive.

Scholarships

$500 Scholarship from 1882!

CUPE 1882 believes in the advancement of education though scholarship for its members.  Available for eligible members in good standing of CUPE Local 1882 and their families. Presented annually.

Eligibility: open to families of current Local 1882 inside workers who have been members for at least two (2) continuous years.

Type and Amount of Award: up to two (2) Scholarships of $500.00 awarded annually.

Selection method:  Selection Committee will review all submissions and reserve the right to conduct interviews if deemed necessary.

How to Apply: download the Scholarship package below or pick one up from a member of your 1882 executive and follow the instructions as per the application package.

Deadline: submissions must be received at the Local by July 31.

Notification & payment: successful recipients will be notified in September. Scholarship is paid directly to the beneficiary.

CUPE 1882 members are part of the Benefits plan.  If you have questions about your rights under the plan or your eligibility to participate in the Benefits plan, please talk to your steward or a member of the executive.

Pensions

CUPE 1882 members are part of the OMERS pension plan.  If you have questions about your rights under the pension plan or your eligibility to participate in the plan, please talk to your steward or a member of the executive.

Member education
